Dear Howard, There is no way to properly express my gratitude to you for your help in advancing my real estate career. The first CRS class I attended in St. Louis, Missouri was a listing course that you taught. Then I went on to follow you as a member of Star Power Club. Through the years I have had the privilege of seeing you speak at NAR conventions and twice at Star Power Conferences. You were always inspirational and encouraging. You took time to talk to me and make me feel that I mattered.

You have a real gift and you are a treasure and loved by so many. You and your family are in my prayers. God Bless You and thank you again for your positive role in my career.

I love hearing the video cams. These take me down memory lane with all the great people that I have met because of you. You are so well loved and have made a big family with all those that have met each other just because of you. Thank you Howard. One favorite story that you told is how Babs changed your suitcase combo to her birthday so that you would never forget her birthday. Hope you have a few laughs today, Howard.

My prayers are with you and Babs and your family. I pray that through all this you feel God’s presence and know that He is in control. May the Holy Spirit help to lead you closer to God. I ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior…Amen.

Howard, thank you for your inspirational messages. I listened and learned alot from you back when I was first starting in real estate. I lived in New Hampshire then; (now I am in the Toronto area and starting all over again.) I can still use your information and knowledge.
God Bless You.

Dear Howard,
Although we don’t know each other, I do know your wife Barbara quite well. We grew up as best friends in Havertown, PA. I have googled you both a few times in the past years. I was saddened to learn of Barbara’s illness and now of yours. I can see how much you are loved and admired from the outpouring of loving friends. Please know I will add you both to my prayer list. I would love to hear from Barbara if she is so inclined at “grumpybud@hotmail.com”. I will be thinking of you both.
Fondly,
Rose Nicastro Webster

Dear Howard
I am from Sydney Australia and first met you back in 1996 at one of your Star Power Conferences and then again when you did a keynote at AREC in Sydney. You are an amazing human being and have been instrumental in making the real estate industry what it is today. I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Blessings.

Howard, I can never tell you what you mean to my life and how I am the person I am today because of you. Not only from the classes I attended but the personal time we were able to spend together. All my prayers and thoughts are with you. It has been 28 years since I first met you and so many decisions made in my life were with the help of the little Howard on my shoulder. Thank you and I love you.

Howard and I first met in 1984 when I hired him to teach for the Illinois Realtors GRI. He was not a nationally known speaker at the time and we id not have the opportunity to interview him before hand. We wnt solely on the recommendation of Del Bain, a fellow speaker and friend of Howards. When I picked him up at the airport the airline had lost his luggage and Howard went on stage in a sweater and a pair of painters pants . . . not exactly the proper attire at that time. Howard did an outstanding job and continued at our GRI program for many years.

Howard and I became friends and stayed in contact for many years even though we rarely saw each other. Howard returned to Illinois for the Realtors convention in 2005. While at a cocktail party Howard came up to me and my wife and gave each of us his legendary hug.

I am saddened to hear of his medical issues. I wish him good luck and godspeed.

Dear Howard,

We have missed you here on Modena Lane. You and Barb were the best kind of neighbors, the ones you hardly saw but when you did you knew you were in for a good time. I gave up my mowing cap this year but will never forget that if I timed it just right (around happy hour) there would always be a vodka/tonic waiting for me on the fence post. And your send off from Modena Lane, another great night to remember. Leave it to you to have us barter over frozen goods. And didn’t realize how much you could learn about a person until you played charades with them…such a great night. In Brinton style you have touched the lives of many, traveled the world, tasted success, married a wonderful woman, a son to carry on your name; you danced, ate and drank your way through this go around. In the end, it doesn’t matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away. We can only imagine. Our best to you and Barb.

I always remember your telling us not to ever let anyone make us carry their bucket. But I’ll never forget your helping me carry mine. I think of you often with fond affection. You will always be one of my favorite friends. I love ya, Jane

Okay, I feel like a dork! I just wanted to read my “post”, you know, to make sure it did truly post, etc….when doing this, I discovered that I missed the day Howard taught grammar. So, please forgive me, for the one to many HAVES’ , I have. JKR

Hey, Howard.
I’m so very sorry to hear about your illness and am filled with good thoughts and prayers for you!
Long time, no see. Remember way back in the latish 1970s . . . AZ GRI week in Tucson? I think you were just getting started on the GRI/CRS circuit . . . and you absolutely captivated all of us! It wasn’t just your zany humor, although that was part of it. (You could have given Robin Williams a run for his money had you chosen to do so!) Your caring, warmth and desire to make us all better in our jobs and our lives came across loud and clear and you made us all your friends. So much so, in my case, that I stopped by your room later that evening to chat with you. (And that was something well beyond my usual Bostonian reticence!) You were kindness personified, invited me in and we talked.
Your friendliness and that GRI class opened new doors for me and I quickly became involved with CRS, both locally and nationally–as you may recall. At least for a while, AZ put on the best CRS classes in the country–and you (and Del) were a large part of that success!
Our paths frequently crossed at classes, meetings, conventions, Sell-a-bration, etc., for several years. Being with you was a guarantee that I would: a) laugh a lot; and b) learn something.
Your ability to make those around you feel special is phenomenal! Unfortunately, for me, in 1983-84, a chronic illness caused me to pull back professionally, especially with volunteer activities, so our paths stopped crossing.
I just wanted to let you know that, like so many others have said, you had a positive impact on my life and I am better for knowing you! Thank you for having opened your door to someone who needed a friend that night so many years ago!
You and Barbara have my very best wishes!

Nancy
