Howard, thanks for always making the learning fun. We still laugh at our “Naked Truth” picture in Orlando and the many special times you gave to us. You’ve been a light for all of us who are trying to find our way and an inspiration in your words and actions. God Bless you, your wife and your family.

Dearest Howard,
Without you and Star Power I would not be in Real Estate today. Through the education and scripts you have taught me thousands of agents have been impacted. Thank you for your dedication, love, knowledge and for the many many laughs through teaching your Buyer’s University over the years. I love you and all you stand for. God Bless you and your family. Love, Jeri Moran

When I count my blessings, Howard Brinton and Star Power are very high on the list. Thank you for sharing all that information, education, energy and humor. I never dreamed I could be so successful but Star Power took my hand and showed me the way. To me, real estate and Howard Brinton go hand-in-hand and I’ll always appreciate all I learned and those wonderful Star Power Conventions. Bless you, Howard and those you love.

Dear Howard …words can not express my gratitude that you have come into my life. The day I received a call from you asking me to be part of Star Power my life soared to new levels. Later in the years you personally coached me weekly. I treasured our weekly calls and your knowledge totally changed my life. Interestingly we only talked about real estate 25 percent of the time…I can never repay you for the gift you gave me in my personal life. I love you so much Howard. If I were asked who in your life had the biggest impact in my life? The answer would be 2 people my father and Howard Brinton. Thank you for making difference in the world. I love you!

Howard;
You and I met shortly after I started in real estate in 1988. You were just starting the Star of the Month Club and spoke at the KY real estate convention in Lexington. I ordered the tapes and followed all the scripts and dialogues to the letter. I parroted what you said too, “Don’t get attached to the outcome”, “You’re not part of the transaction”, “What’s time to a pig?”. I think it took me more than a few years to finally “get it”, but what powerful messages!!!
So much I’ve learned from you has helped me in my personal life as well as my business. You truly are a Shining Star to me.
You are a man with true integrity. You have spoken your truth and when one has truly listened and heard, you have changed lives for the better. What a wonderful inspiration you are!
Thank you so much for everything. I love you!

Howard ~
You have helped me build my business while learning from the best around the country. You have been with me as I drove from place to place and you even kept me awake on long trips via CD [and in the old days tapes!].
Every time we have seen eachother in person you always take the time to talk. Your life has made an impression on mine. I wish you well, and I will have you in my prayers.

HOWARD!!

I say that in caps as for as long as I have known you (since 1991) everything I have ever seen or maybe more appropriately “heard” from you has always been LARGER THAN LIFE! I can see you smiling even now….

Know that your contributions to the industry will be present for a very long time but maybe know more importantly that you, singularly, touched the lives of more real estate practioners than perhaps any other speaker in the history of our industry.

You are a gift…

Godspeed, my friend, and make merry…..

Words cannot express the appreciation I have for Howard and his service to the real estate industry. Hardly a week goes by that I am not on the Star Power website gleening knowledge so selflessly shared by Stars around the country. Because Howard chose to ask others in the real estate industry what was working for them, he has made us all strive to be the best we can be.

Howard, you have created a legacy. Thank you and God Bless You!

Amy Stoehr October 21, 2009 at 6:01 pm

Where to start? 1993… my beloved boss at the time, Cathy Russell, introduces me to the concept of Stars, and is interviewed to become one herself. I get to sit in the studio with her and watch the man himself, Howard, in his element. That would be the beginning of one of the most profound and positive periods of my life! Howard, you were there for me when I just needed some “fatherly advice” and then you laid out the caroet for me to walk in and become part of the magic. My quality of life, the health and well being of my family, my ambition to strive for things in business… so much has stemmed from my relationship with you, the Stars, and this incredible network. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to me over the years. I love you!

Gary Rogers October 28, 2009 at 2:04 pm

How do you thank someone for teaching others on how to have a life doing what you love best, how to do it for the benefit for others, both one’s family and clients, and to push to improve all the time.

My kids asked me why I was sad last night. I told them that the man who enabled me to have a successful and fulfilling career instead of a job, was not well. As they are in grad school and college, they knew what I meant. That man doesn’t know me, but one half day seminar on Cape Cod in the early/mid 90’s changed everything for me.

They have often heard me talk about Howard and got tired of me talking about either CRS day ideas or something I heard from a Starpower interview. They have heard me tell other agents on how much something so simple as listening to one interview a month could be so powerful in changing one’s whole business approach, and one’s career. After a while my oldest who used to complain about me playing the monthly cassettes and then CD’s in the car when they were younger, said “Dad, can you tell him thanks for helping you to be able to give us such a great life?” I can’t. Wouldn’t be able to explain it well enough. But I know it’s true.

Thank you Howard………….

About 5 years ago at Sellabration, Howard asked everyone to make a commitment to email or call one of the attendees every week. Since that time Jill McGovern and myself have not missed a week communicating about our real estate life and personal lives! I thought this was a unique way to get CRS members involved with one another and it has had many rewards for my involvement!

Betty Cole October 30, 2009 at 5:21 pm

THANKS YOU Howard…
for putting laughter and fun into learning at the many Sell-e-bration events. You have done so much to help many of us in real estate and especially CRS members.
Now you are in our thoughts and prayers-wishing you well.

Howard,

Over 32 years in this game I have attended your sessions (CRS classes.. MAR & NAR and corporate sponsored) and I learned a great deal from you. It was 18 years ago when I attended a seminar you did in D.C that solidifed that I had to make a decision on where I should place my license. It was your personal encouragement that pushed me and for that I thank you. You are in my prayers.

What a wonderful experience to hear your messages! You gave us meaningful direction for developing our business in the most entertaining way. Your “Pig Story” given from a tabletop is one of the best!
Thank you for sharing your talents and commitment to the real estate industry.
Your strong faith and spirit is there.

Cheryl Schlehuber October 31, 2009 at 3:45 pm

Howard, you will never remember me but I shall always remember the fire you installed in me when I went to my first real estate convention in 1998 in Traverse City Michigan. I had just opened up my own office (2 weeks) and didn’t have a clue if I would be successful. You were my first session that day (and it was a guess if you were any good). You made me laugh (OUT LOUD) and brought tears to my eyes and made me hunger for more. Your humor and intensity inspired me beyond belief. It was the beginning of non-stop conventions and learning. I haven’t missed a state or national convention since that year and it all started with you. I continue to tell the story of how you were part of my original excitement and motivated me in this business and I have passed that on to many agents. Every now and then, someone powerful makes a difference in your life, Howard, you made it in mine. I like to think that I “Pay it Forward” Thanks Howard! People can make a differnce.

Howard, Your whit and style will not be matched by anyone. Your time spent here in the Phoenix Market place has helped many many people. We just wish you had never moved. You were not only a great presenter but a great advisor and friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Aloha Howard,
Mahalo for giving us “you”…..your great sense of humor, and the fun you have bringing out the best in people. Both will always stand out as what you brought to my life. You encouraged my son, John to sing at your conferences….that lovely tenor voice that he had hidden from most people. That sparkle in your eyes that always encouraged, and what you brought to our Sell-a-brations for years….sharing and caring with others. You are SPECIAL!!

Hi Howard,
I’m not one of your huge stars in terms of transactions, Howard. However, you are without a doubt, one of my brightest stars! You have been since that week of GRI in 1988 when you and Del Bain taught Nate Martinez (a construction worker) and I in Tucson, AZ.

I have NEVER seen anyone since that time put EVERYTHING they had into their presentations. We saw your passion that week right down to the bottom of your heart beyond to the bottom of your feet :-) . That has all been proven true the past twenty plus years as you went on to found and build StarPower into the legendary training ground for residential REALTORS.

You are the brightest real estate training star in the world, Howard. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I’ve thrown most of them back over the years but, Howard, you are a “KEEPER”.

May God Bless you and yours as you fight this fight. May He give the peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus name.

I love you, Howard.

Mr. Howard Brinton,

I am young in this Real Estate Career, starting when I was just 22 years old. I am now 32 and love my career thanks to early real estate seminars I attended of yours. I took many great ideas and lots of dicipline from your conventions and teachings. You truly are a Real Estate mentor to some of us who thought it would never last…our careers, that is. May God Bless you and your Family and may there be peace within you.

Thank you for all you have done and contributed to the Real Estate field. I am sure there are many “better” Agents out there because of you :)

Sincerely,

Dearest Howard:

I’ll never forget the first time I met you. It was 1984 and my first time teaching GRI in Wyoming, and all I heard was “when’s Howard teaching?”, “where’s Howard?”—-but when I finally met you in person, I totally understood what the “buzz” was all about. You are a fantastic instructor and have helped legions of students, and fellow instructors, over the years. What wonderful meaning your life has had, and God Bless you in your valiant fight.

Fondly,
Julie

Kathy Koehler November 3, 2009 at 9:10 pm

Dear Howard I don’t know if you will remember me, many years ago, at least 15 years ago, before I formed The Koehler Bortnick Team, my daughter/partner Heather Bortnick and I came to your seminar and took your ideas and embody them. We took the lessons and ideas learned at your seminar back to Kansas City and developed the first team, the first info box flyer, and one of the first websites. We went from $12 million to $25 million, we then hired one of your mentors, Bob Bohlen and he took us in one year from $50 million to $100 million. It all started with you, my thoughts and prayer are with you and your family.
Sincerely, Kathy Koehler and Heather Bortnick

Howard:

I had the opportunity to attend only one of your “Star Power” conventions, and I must say the passion and true commitment you had for our industry inspired me to be a better real estate professional.

You have made a huge difference in our world.

Hug your family tight and enjoy each moment.

God Bless.

Thanks for your wisdom and encouragement.
You have helped shape my perspective and enabled me to close some tough sales in a declining market. Your comments at the Sellebration in Hawaii that ” We are in a price war and a beauty contest” has been my battle cry.

To Howard, A light that shines for all of us to see. We remember your smiling face, enthusiasm, professionalism and candor. You have helped so many of us do better with your Star Power Club, your Coaching Team, your team and website with tips and information for us whenever we needed help. Your conferences were an inspiration for all of us to go home and do better. Best of all Howard, was the cookies, hundreds of them when we were on break or chasing down the halls to the next forum. We pray for you. We will ever remember you with gratitude in our hearts. God Bless and Keep you. With our very fond Aloha, Cecilia and Stewart Wade

Good morning Howard,

I can’t even count the number of times that you and I shared a platform together somewhere; but I can remember that every time I left a convention where you and I were speaking … I left with a smile on my face. You are, without a doubt, one of the funniest people I have ever met and I thank you for that.

People always said that you and I were competitors, but I never felt that way. We’ve just been two guys who were working hard to improve the lives of other people … in this case, real estate agents. The good news is your contribution to the many individuals that you worked with will live on forever, and the better news is the work that you have started and continued will continue forever.

My only regret is that we didn’t spend more time together when we had the opportunity; but I know that every time I think of the name Howard Brinton, I will have a smile on my face as will the thousands of others that you’ve touched.

Don’t ever stop smiling and thinking about the great things you’ve done.

-Mike Ferry

Hi Howard,
I was so sorry to hear of your medical diagnosis…but on thinking of you…and your incredible positive energy…I knew you were the one who was going to put up the best fight possible! Now it’s time you use that inspration you give to everyone else…and turn it inward! Everyone who has ever heard you speak and gotten to know you even a little…is cheering you on! Dearest Howard,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this message to you. I just learned of your diagnosis, and can’t begin to tell you what you have meant to the Real Estate community and your many many friends around the world.
I remember when you started the Star Power club. Dave and I were among your biggest cheerleaders. We still tell any new agent we meet that joining your organization is the best way to learn everything you need to know.
And we will never forget our wonderful mastermind group with Dr. Fred. You are one of the most talented, kind and funny people I have ever met, and I am forever grateful that you came into my life.
Know that our blessings, prayers and love are with you and yours during this challenging time.

With love,

Howard:

We never met, yet I feel as if I have personally known you for most of my real estate career. I first saw you in 1990 or 1991 at a real estate convention conducting a panel. Having been in the business for over 12 years at that time I realized I knew nothing. It literally changed my career. I have listened to days and days of interviews by you. Your work shaped who I am. I speak for the thousands of real estate agents like me who you touched. God Bless you and your family. I don’t know where you are right now but I hope you feel peace. Please know that you are loved by many.

Howard,

What a total inspiration you are to the real estate industry!

You touch everyone you meet!

You taught many philosophies… one of which was a very valuable and hilarious lession about life when you shared the PIG story…what’s time to a pig! That story never got old!

Wherever life takes you, know that you’re deeply loved for all that you’ve done and shared with others!

Cristie & Ken Carn September 2, 2010 at 1:57 pm

Howard … Ken and I are deeply saddened to learn of all that you are going through! I am ashamed at the lateness of this message, we just didn’t know. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and while I know that your attitude is “up” … please also know that you have legions of fans and friends that you have lifted up over the years and inspired that are loving you from afar. You are beautiful and strong and I can’t wait for that doctor to put you in that 10 year study you spoke of! We are thinking of you. Fondly, Ken and Cristie Carn from Naperville, Illinois.

How are you doing Howard. We think of you all the time. You are in our prayers.
Keep on, keeping on. Warm Aloha, Cecilia Wade
