Howard,

THANK YOU!

In 1999, I got my real estate license and 1 week later I came to Buyer Agent University in Denver. I was one of the lucky ones who had you as one of my teachers! It was 3 days that changed my life forever.

You truly inspired me to be the very best that I could be. I met my partner, Pat Hiban about a month later and learned that he was one of your stars. That made my decision to join him in his vision for what real estate was all about and EASY one! Anyone that respected you and followed you was in the mindset and belief system that I wanted to be a part of.

I have been to every University that you have held, multiple star power conferences and I think that the thing I most love and respect about you is your passion for helping other people grow.

Your passion helped me to believe in my very core that if I want something, and am passionate about it …I can do anything. I went from being a 25 year old brand new agent to owning a Keller Williams office and helping Pat run a team has grown by leaps and bounds. Pat and I both attribute that directly to you and your personal influence on us.

Your legacy is a legacy that makes me want to be a better person and realtor. It makes me want to share what I know with others that may not have the answers…and not because they pay me …but because my success came from someone being willing to teach me everything they knew…and he learned that from you. Help others succeed and you succeed too. Now that’s what I call a legacy.

From the bottom of my heart, please know that you have changed the course of my life and the lessons that I have learned from you are lessons that I hope will stay with me forever. I will always help other agents grown and that is how I will honor you. I can only help that one day your legacy will be part of my legacy…then I will know that I have truly succeeded in my life!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Good morning Howard,

I can’t even count the number of times that you and I shared a platform together somewhere; but I can remember that every time I left a convention where you and I were speaking … I left with a smile on my face. You are, without a doubt, one of the funniest people I have ever met and I thank you for that.

People always said that you and I were competitors, but I never felt that way. We’ve just been two guys who were working hard to improve the lives of other people … in this case, real estate agents. The good news is your contribution to the many individuals that you worked with will live on forever, and the better news is the work that you have started and continued will continue forever.

My only regret is that we didn’t spend more time together when we had the opportunity; but I know that every time I think of the name Howard Brinton, I will have a smile on my face as will the thousands of others that you’ve touched.

Don’t ever stop smiling and thinking about the great things you’ve done.

-Mike Ferry
